Audiobook of John Higgs' KLF book released [UPDATED]

John Higgs' brilliant book on the KLF is not your typical pop music biography -- it is is about Robert Anton Wilson almost as much as the book's ostensible subject. And now it's an audiobook, narrated by the author. It's out new in the U.K. I'm trying to clarify its status in the U.S.

UPDATE: When I asked John about an audiobook in the U.S., he said, "You know, I'm not sure. I'll have to check the contract, it may just be UK and Commonwealth. I don't think US publishers have much interest in books about the KLF!"

UPDATE, UPDATED: It IS available in the U.S.

Are you sure it's available in the US? I see this message: Due to publishing rights restriction, we are not authorized to sell this item in the country where you live...

Loved the book, would buy the audio instantly.

I don't see the message on when I click on the link for "It IS available on the link." Do you get the message when you try to actually buy it?

The message i see is in place of the link that would allow me to put it in my cart. Strange.

Hi Tom - I've looked at the contract and the various addendums and it looks to me like its not supposed to be available in the US. That said, if it is available regardless we can chalk that up to a happy accident. Odd that appears available to you and not Lvx though, if you're both in mainland US? Could it be different on Audible.com and Amazon.com?

It's also possible you may be able to buy from Audible.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk - worth a try, anyway

John, I haven't actually tried to buy it Lvx tried and got the message when he wanted to buy it. Lvx, can you trying buying at UK Amazon? Buying a book from a foreign Amazon site is easy, although buying a Kindle book is hard.

No love I'm afraid... I get redirected to my US Audible account... the only John Higgs audible offerings here seem to be read in German!

By the way, John, I passed my copy of Stranger Than... to my college aged daughter and she quite liked it. So double thanks for that!

Thanks for passing that on Lvx, always appreciated!

I think the solution to the audiobook problem is quite simple. You need to move to England.
