The Four Essential RAW books?

But does it seem "essential?"

The Robert Anton Wilson fans who run Ultraculture on Wednesday published an article by Maher Zaidi on "The 4 Essential Robert Anton Wilson Books for Blowing Your Mind."

Zaidi's picks are Illuminatus!, Cosmic Trigger 1: The Final Secret of the Illuminati, Prometheus Rising and Quantum Psychology.

This seems to be a reasonable list, but many of us would at least add the Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy. Cosmic Trigger 2: Down to Earth  and The Widow's Son seem essential to me.  I also like the collections of short pieces, such as Email to the Universe and The Illuminati Papers.

RAW also is included in Ultraculture's article on "8 Celebrities Who Practice Chaos Magick."

I find the Illuminati Papers to be more mind blowing that QP, but that's just me. And I'd vote for Masks of Illuminati as my fictional choice here. Illuminatus is too hard for me to follow, but The Widow's Son is a close second to Masks. Maybe even equal.

In his final years, Wilson seemed to boil his teachings down to MaybeLogic and the 8 Circuit Brain with his philosophic opus, The Tale of the Tribe, fittingly elusive and unfinshed.

So if I consider the essence of Wilson on a grander scale, I believe it boils down to Maybe Logic and the 8CB

OK, I want to ammend that Masks is more of a favorite, but the Widow's Son may be more accessible and more mind blowing.
