What we read last month

As usual, please share in the comments what you read.

What Mark K.Brown read or re-read:Heart of dankness : underground botanists, outlaw farmers, and the race for the Cannabis Cup by Mark Haskell Smith  10/2
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami  10/30

What I read or re-read last month:

Lord of Light, Roger Zelazny
Twice as Dead (City of Shadows #1), Harry Turtledove
The Cold Grey Hills of Earth, Karl Gallagher
The Return, Walter de la Mare
Wyst: Alastor 1716, Jack Vance.

While I am sure I must have read the Vance before, I didn't remember it at all. It was like reading a Jack Vance novel I had missed! Has anyone else had an experience like that?
