I usually have several books going, at once & tend to skip around to whatever strikes the mood-- kind of like surfing the net only with books. Before the internet I would almost always finish a book before starting another... I do manage to finish about 40-50 books per year but still have a few piles of unread books that were acquired 1-2 years ago-- or more. Netflix doesn't help me finish any books either...
